How we serve Emerald businesses

  • Workshop paperwork sorted

Repair and maintenance businesses buy parts and materials from many suppliers. We enter those bills as they arrive and record customer payments against the job invoices they settle.

  • Remittances read line by line

When a buyer pays for produce with fees or charges already taken out, we record the full sale and each charge from the remittance, then reconcile the net amount to your bank.

  • Smaller files welcome

A business with a modest number of transactions still gets reconciled to its bank statements every month. The quote, given before work starts, reflects the lighter load.

Questions Emerald business owners ask

Can you help us get bank feeds connected?
Yes. We can help you give us access to the file, connect supported bank feeds and learn the parts of Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks you use day to day. How the file is structured stays with you and your accountant.
We run separate businesses for the farm and the contracting work. Can you look after both?
Yes. Each business that has its own Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks file is reconciled separately, and we quote for the work across all of them before it starts.
What does the urban area in the figures mean?
They cover the ABS Significant Urban Area, which groups whole statistical areas around an urban centre or related centres. It can include surrounding rural land and is not a council boundary.
Where can we read about long service leave in Queensland?
The payroll tax and long service leave band on this page shows Queensland's figures with their sources. Individual entitlements turn on each worker's own service history, so confirm a particular case with your accountant.
How do you price a smaller job?
The same way as any other: we look over the file and quote before work starts. Fewer transactions usually means a smaller quote.
