Book Keeping Pros home

Bookkeeping for plumbers

Plumbing income arrives from emergency call-outs, property managers' work orders and builders' stage claims, each paid in its own way and on its own timing. We look after day-to-day bookkeeping for plumbers across Australia.

What we look after

What the books involve

  • Work orders from property managers and strata managers: each repair invoiced against its order number, sent to the right agency or owner, and followed up until it is paid.
  • Call-outs: after-hours and emergency jobs invoiced from the job app, with card payments taken at the property matched to each invoice once they settle in the bank.
  • New homes: rough-in and fit-off stages claimed from builders under each contract, with payments tracked against what has been claimed so far.
  • Plumbing supply accounts: pipe, fittings, tapware and hot water units bought across the counter matched to the supplier's statement and allocated to the jobs that used them.
  • Drainage equipment such as jetters and pipe cameras, and the van fit-outs that carry them, recorded with their finance or lease repayments so their running cost is visible.
  • AroFlo, Fergus or a similar job app linked to Xero, with the sync checked so jobs, invoices and customer payments line up in the books.
