Book Keeping Pros home

Bookkeeping for electricians

Electricians are paid for quick call-outs on the day and for larger fit-outs through claims to builders, with wholesaler accounts running underneath both. We look after day-to-day bookkeeping for electricians across Australia.

What we look after

What the books involve

  • Call-outs and small jobs: invoices raised from the job app when the work is done, and card payments taken at the job matched to them, so unpaid call-outs stand out.
  • Wholesaler accounts: counter pick-ups and deliveries of cable, switchboards and fittings matched to the monthly statement, with each purchase charged to the job it was bought for.
  • Work for builders: claims on new homes and commercial fit-outs tracked against each contract, including any amounts held back until the builder releases them.
  • Job management apps such as simPRO or Tradify feeding invoices into Xero, with every synced invoice and payment checked against the bank feed before it is reconciled.
  • Vans, tools and test equipment: vehicle running costs, fuel cards and tool purchases recorded consistently, so the cost of keeping each van on the road shows up in the monthly reports.
