Book Keeping Pros home

Bookkeeping for cafes and restaurants

Cafes and restaurants handle many small sales and frequent supplier deliveries, and the books need to keep pace with both. We look after day-to-day bookkeeping for cafes and restaurants across Australia.

What we look after

What the books involve

  • Daily takings: point of sale reports, card settlements and cash banked reconciled, so each day's sales match what reaches the bank.
  • Supplier invoices for food, drinks and packaging entered as they arrive, so suppliers are paid on time and costs stay up to date.
  • Food and beverage purchases tracked against sales, which shows how the menu is performing from one month to the next.
  • Bank and card accounts reconciled every month, with clean accounts ready for the owner and their accountant.
  • Point of sale and bank feeds connected to Xero or MYOB, so sales flow into the books without being typed in again.
