Moving from MYOB to Xero
Xero points businesses leaving MYOB to Jet Convert, a third-party conversion service. We get your MYOB file ready, put it through Jet Convert, then check the new Xero file against MYOB before your team starts work in it.
What Jet Convert moves from MYOB
- Xero lists MYOB AccountRight Live, Standard, Plus and Premier among the files Jet Convert converts.
- Jet Convert's Standard package carries the current and previous financial year of transactions into Xero.
- A desktop .MYO file only gives up the years still open in it. Once a year is closed in MYOB, its transactions stay behind.
- Files that use more than one currency or location are not converted, and neither are files from the old MYOB Essentials.
How we run a MYOB to Xero move
- 01
Get the MYOB file ready
We reconcile the bank and card accounts, clear old unreconciled items and run MYOB's file verification before anything leaves your hands.
- 02
Send it to Jet Convert
We back up the desktop file, or invite Jet Convert into MYOB online, and choose the package with you.
- 03
Check the Xero file
We compare Xero's opening balances with MYOB's trial balance at the conversion date, redo the bank reconciliations and connect the feeds.
- 04
Show the team Xero
We train your staff on their everyday Xero tasks and point out where the screens differ from the MYOB ones they know.
