Moving from QuickBooks to Xero
Jet Convert, the conversion service Xero names for QuickBooks files, moves QuickBooks Online data into Xero. We tidy the QuickBooks file, agree a cut-off date, run the conversion and reconcile what lands in Xero.
What comes across from QuickBooks Online
- In Australia, Jet Convert converts QuickBooks Online. The Self Employed version is not one it takes.
- The Standard package brings the current and previous financial year of transactions. More years can be added at a set charge for each year, shown in the table below.
- Projects and PDF attachments do not come across to Xero.
- Anything keyed into QuickBooks Online after Jet Convert takes the data has to be entered again in Xero.
- Jet Convert hands back a Xero subscription, the converted data and an action checklist.

Tidy QuickBooks Online
We reconcile the bank and card accounts, rename duplicate account names and match receivables and payables to the trial balance.

Set the cut-off
We agree a cut-off date with you, stop new entries in QuickBooks Online and invite Jet Convert into the file.

Reconcile in Xero
We tie Xero's opening balances to QuickBooks Online at the cut-off, reconcile each bank account again and connect your feeds.

Train the team
Your staff learn the Xero screens they will use each week, from matching bank lines to raising invoices.
