Bookkeeping for IT businesses
IT businesses earn from project work, monthly support agreements and resold hardware or licences, while their own spending runs through cloud subscriptions and contractors. We look after day-to-day bookkeeping for IT businesses across Australia.

What we look after
Small business bookkeeping
Support invoices, contractor bills and subscriptions reconciled each month.
Xero bookkeeping
Synced invoices and foreign currency card spending reconciled in Xero.
Catch-up bookkeeping
Unmatched customer payments and card receipts brought up to date.
What the books involve
- Support agreements: managed service and helpdesk contracts invoiced on a recurring cycle, with each customer's payments matched and any invoice past its due date listed every month.
- Project billing: development and implementation work invoiced by milestone or by hours logged, with the amount billed on each project so far compared with the agreed contract value.
- Resold hardware and licences: distributor invoices for laptops, network gear and software licences matched to the customer invoices that pass them on, so resale margins sit apart from service income.
- Cloud and software spending: hosting, development tools and the business's own subscriptions, including those charged in foreign currencies to a card, coded each month with receipts attached.
- Contract developers and technicians: their invoices entered as bills against the project or customer they worked for, then matched to the payments that clear them.
- Helpdesk or project tools that bill into Xero or QuickBooks Online checked against the bank feed, so synced invoices and customer payments agree before each account is reconciled.
