Moving from QuickBooks to MYOB
MYOB lists QuickBooks Online among the products MMC Convert migrates into MYOB, from any plan. We clean up the QuickBooks file, send the request once your MYOB subscription is running, and test the MYOB file against QuickBooks when the data arrives.
What comes over from QuickBooks Online
- MMC Convert can take QuickBooks Online data from any plan.
- Customer and supplier records arrive with their contact details, and your whole item list comes too: product names, item descriptions and the accounts each item is linked to.
- MYOB meets the cost of moving transactions for the current financial year and the one before. Bringing older transactions across costs extra.
- MYOB's page puts the migration at ten business days or less once you give MMC Convert access.
- Anything keyed into MYOB before MMC Convert finishes is lost, so the new file stays untouched until the migration is done.
How a QuickBooks to MYOB move runs
- 01
Clean up QuickBooks Online
We reconcile each bank and credit card account, deal with invoices and bills nobody will pay and correct negative stock counts. Then everyone stops posting in QuickBooks.
- 02
Request the migration
With your MYOB plan active, we submit the request to MMC Convert, and you approve its access to QuickBooks Online and to MYOB.
- 03
Test MYOB against QuickBooks
Once the data lands, we compare MYOB's trial balance and each customer and supplier balance with QuickBooks at the migration date, then reconcile every bank account again.
- 04
Teach the MYOB routines
We show your staff how sales, supplier payments and bank matching work in MYOB Business, starting with the tasks they do every week.
