Moving from Xero to MYOB
MYOB sends businesses leaving Xero to MMC Convert, the migration service it names on its own site. We tidy the Xero file, request the migration, then check the MYOB file against Xero once the data lands.
What MMC Convert moves into MYOB
- MMC Convert takes data from any Xero plan.
- Your chart of accounts arrives complete, with the same structure and account numbers you use in Xero.
- Open sales invoices, purchase invoices and credit notes come across, and account balances carry over with a trial balance at the conversion date.
- MYOB pays to migrate the current and previous financial years of transactions. Moving older transactions costs extra.
- Transactions entered after the migration date have to be added to MYOB by hand.
How we move a Xero file to MYOB
- 01
Settle the Xero file
We reconcile every bank and card account, sort out duplicate transactions and resolve bills or invoices that will not be paid, as MYOB asks.
- 02
Request the migration
Once your MYOB subscription is active, we send the request to MMC Convert and give it access to Xero and the new MYOB account.
- 03
Match MYOB to Xero
We check MYOB's opening balances against Xero's trial balance at the migration date and do the bank reconciliations again.
- 04
Get the team going in MYOB
We train your staff on the MYOB jobs they do most weeks, such as entering bills and reconciling the bank.
