How we serve Geelong businesses

  • Starting a new file

If you've just started trading, we help you get access to Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks, connect the bank feeds your bank supports and learn how to send us bills and receipts. How the file itself is set up is your accountant's call.

  • Invoices for professional firms

Professional, scientific and technical services is the next largest group after construction on the industry chart. For consultants and other professional firms, we raise invoices from the hours or fees you send us, or track the ones you raise yourself.

  • Each account checked monthly

Every month, each account in the file is checked against its statement, missing transactions are added and payments are matched to what they settle.

  • Sole traders included

The size chart counts businesses classified as non-employing by the ABS too, and a sole trader's books get the same monthly routine as a larger firm's.

Questions Geelong business owners ask

We've just started trading. Is it too early for a bookkeeper?
No. A file that starts in good order is easier to keep that way than to fix later. We help you get into Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks and connect your bank feeds, show you how to send us paperwork, then keep the books each month.
What does the growth figure measure?
The change in the ABS estimated resident population of the Significant Urban Area over the latest year shown. It can include surrounding rural land and is not a council boundary.
What does it mean for the books to be reconciled?
Each bank, card and loan account in your file agrees with its statement, missing transactions are in, duplicates are out and payments are matched to the bills and invoices they settle. That gives your accountant a clean starting point for their own work.
Do you work with transport and delivery businesses?
Yes. Transport, postal and warehousing appears on the industry chart for the urban area, and we keep these books the usual way: fuel and vehicle costs recorded, customer invoices tracked and accounts reconciled monthly.
How do we ask for a quote?
Use the contact page to describe the business, the software it runs on and how current the books are. The quote comes back before anything is done, and you decide from there.
