Small business bookkeeping for Perth businesses

When a spreadsheet or a shoebox of receipts stops keeping up with the business, it's time for accounting software and a regular routine. We help with getting access to the software, connecting supported bank feeds and training, and after that the bookkeeping each month is ours.

From a spreadsheet to monthly books

  • Into the software

Once you've chosen Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks and started a subscription, we help you get into the software and invite us in as a user.

  • Bank feeds instead of typing

We connect a feed for each account whose bank supports one, so its transactions arrive in the software instead of being copied from statements into a spreadsheet.

  • The jobs that stay with you

We show you the tasks you'll keep, such as sending an invoice or saving a receipt photo against its payment, so the software feels familiar from the start.

  • Then a monthly routine

Once the feeds are running, the bookkeeping becomes ours: transactions recorded, bills entered and the accounts reconciled each month, with your reports to follow.

Moving off the spreadsheet

Which software should we choose?
We work in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks, so any of them suits us. It's worth asking your accountant too, since they'll work from it as well.
What happens to our old spreadsheet?
Pick a date to switch over. From then on, everything goes into the software, and the spreadsheet stays as your record of the months before. If your accountant wants those earlier months in the software too, we can enter them from your bank statements as catch-up work.
We have a shoebox of receipts. Do we sort them first?
No need. Photos or scans are enough. We attach each receipt to the bank transaction it belongs to and ask you about any we can't place.
How do invoices work once we're off the spreadsheet?
You send them from the software instead of a document or spreadsheet. When a customer pays, the payment in the bank feed can then be matched to the invoice it settles.
How much of the work stays with us?
Sending invoices and keeping receipts, if you'd like. Recording transactions, entering bills, reconciling the accounts and preparing the monthly reports become our jobs.
