Float cash flow forecast set-up
We connect Float to your accounting software and set up a cash flow forecast that starts from reconciled books. Float's pricing page gives its prices in Australian dollars, shown below with its plan limits.
What we do in Float
- Connect Float to your Xero or QuickBooks Online file and check the opening cash position it shows.
- Set up the weekly cash view for the coming quarter and a monthly forecast for the longer term.
- Add expected income and spending that is not yet invoiced, such as a planned purchase or a loan repayment.
- Build alternative scenarios, such as a slow month for sales or a new hire, beside the base forecast.
- Reconcile the books each month, so the forecast starts from the real bank balance.
How a Float set-up runs
- 01
Start from clean books
We reconcile your accounts first, because the forecast begins from the balances in the ledger.
- 02
Connect and set the views
We connect Float, set up the weekly and monthly views and check when invoices and bills are expected to be paid.
- 03
Add what the ledger cannot see
We enter planned spending, expected funding and other one-off amounts, then build the scenarios you want to compare.
- 04
Check it each month
Each month we compare the forecast with what happened and talk you through what changed.
