Starting out in Xero

  • Getting into the software

We help you get access to Xero, so you and anyone in the business who needs it can sign in with their own login.

  • Supported bank feeds connected

We connect the feeds your bank supports. Depending on the bank, you approve each feed through your internet banking or by signing an authorisation form, and transactions flow into Xero once it's approved.

  • Training on everyday tasks

We show you the jobs you'll do yourself, like raising an invoice, attaching a receipt to a transaction and finding a report when you need it.

  • Monthly bookkeeping, if you want it

You can keep the books yourself once you're trained. Or hand them over, and we take on the month's reconciling, bill entry and keeping invoices current.

Questions about starting in Xero

What about the rest of the Xero file?
We stop at access, bank feeds and training. How the rest of the file is arranged is a question for your accountant.
What if our bank doesn't offer a feed to Xero?
Then that account has no automatic feed. You can download statements from your bank and import them into Xero instead, and we can show you how.
Do we have to take the monthly bookkeeping too?
No. Access, bank feeds and training can be the whole job. If you want monthly bookkeeping later, ask and we pick up from the file as it stands.
Can our staff join the training?
Yes. Whoever raises invoices or handles receipts in your business can take part, so each person learns the tasks that fall to them.
Do we need to know bookkeeping before we start in Xero?
No. The training covers the tasks you'll do yourself. If you hand over the monthly work, the reconciling and bill entry are ours to do.
