Cin7 Core linked to Xero or QuickBooks
Cin7 Core manages stock across locations and sales channels. Connected to Xero, it sends invoices, purchase orders, credit notes and cost of goods sold journals across to the ledger. We set up its connection to Xero or QuickBooks Online, map each transaction type to an account, reconcile what arrives and train your team. Cin7 lists prices in US dollars, so the details below are plan limits and sync features.
What we do with Cin7
- Connect Cin7 Core to a new or existing Xero or QuickBooks Online file and choose the ledger account for each sale, purchase and credit note.
- Decide between real-time posting and batches, and check each batched invoice of store or online sales against the day's takings.
- Review the cost of goods sold journals Cin7 sends, so gross margin in the ledger agrees with Cin7's own figures.
- Reconcile the clearing and bank accounts that customer receipts and marketplace payouts pass through.
- Train your staff to spot a failed sync and fix it before the month is closed.
How a Cin7 connection runs
- 01
Agree the mapping
We decide which ledger account each Cin7 sale, purchase and stock adjustment goes to.
- 02
Pick a posting method
We choose real-time or batched posting, based on how many orders you handle in a day.
- 03
Test a full month
We compare a month of synced invoices and journals with Cin7's own reports before relying on it.
- 04
Keep it reconciled
Each month the stock and cost of sales accounts are reconciled, by us or by staff we have trained.
