Fathom set-up for management reporting
Fathom reads your accounting file and turns it into management reports, KPI analysis and three-way cash flow forecasts. We connect it to Xero, QuickBooks Online or MYOB, build the report you want each month and keep the ledger underneath it reconciled. Fathom's pricing page lists US dollars by default, so the details below are features and terms rather than prices.
What we do in Fathom
- Add each company to Fathom from Xero, QuickBooks Online or MYOB, and compare the first sync with the trial balance.
- Lay out a management report template with the statements, charts and commentary you want in front of you each month.
- Choose the KPIs you watch and set targets, so each report compares results with budget and earlier periods.
- Build a three-way cash flow forecast from your budget, with each assumption written down where you can see it.
- Group related companies into a consolidation, so the whole group reports as one set of numbers.
How a Fathom set-up runs
- 01
Decide what you report
We agree the measures, the comparison periods and who reads the report each month.
- 02
Reconcile, then connect
We bring the books up to date first, then connect each company so Fathom starts from finished figures.
- 03
Build the template
We set the report and KPIs up once, so every month's pack follows the same layout.
- 04
Run it each month
After each month's reconciliation we refresh Fathom and send you the pack.
