Stripe and Xero: invoice payments
Xero builds the Stripe integration, which lets customers pay the invoices you send from Xero by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or direct debit. Payments taken through Stripe flow into Xero to be reconciled. We set it up, check the Stripe bank feed and match each payout. The listing details below are from the Xero App Store.
What we do with Stripe and Xero
- Connect Stripe from Payment Services in Xero's General Settings, using your existing Stripe account or a new one.
- Set up auto pay on repeating invoices for customers who pay you regularly, where the template is approved for sending.
- Match each Stripe payout to its bank deposit, checking the payments and fees the payout details show.
- Check what Xero matches as payments come through the Stripe bank feed, and clear what it does not match.
- Show your team how to follow a payment from a paid invoice to the payout that reached your bank.

We start from Payment Services in Xero's settings and link your Stripe account to Xero.

We choose which invoices offer Stripe and set up auto pay on repeating invoices where it suits.

Confirm the payout schedule
We check the payout schedule in the Stripe dashboard, so we know when deposits should reach the bank.

Reconcile and train
We match the first payouts and fees to the bank, then walk your team through the weekly routine.
